About Us
We are a small, family-run travel agency/broker headquartered in Austin, Texas with a focus on finding accommodations at timeshare resorts for our clients. We do not offer cruise, flight, rental car or hotel packages at this time.
Given we are headquartered in Texas, we wanted to embrace our Texas pride in our name, so we decided to call our company Lone STR Vacations...we think its a nice place on words...maybe its not. The STR part stands "Signature Timeshare Resorts". We do have aspirations of acquiring residential real estate and offering our short-term rentals (STRs) to our clients at a future date. But for now we are exclusively focused on resort rentals.
Up until recently, we have been getting most of our business from Airbnb and VRBO. However, since these platforms take ~15-20% of each transaction in the form of service fees, we decided to launch our website so clients could book directly with us and save money! Compared to prices listed on Airbnb, we can offer prices as much as 25% lower via direct bookings.

Our Story
Picture this, the turquoise waters lapping at the pristine beach, the gentle caress of the tropical breeze, and amidst this paradise, the tantalizing promise of endless vacations. Little did we know we were about to sucked into a lifelong commitment; we were lured into purchasing a timeshare.
Realizing we did not have the time to use our week every year, we started renting it to share our passion of traveling with our guests and recoup our annual maintenance fees. After renting to a few guests, we realized we were pretty good at the hosting thing.
Realizing other timeshare owner were likely in similar situations prompted us to start our business that helps timeshare owners get value out of their unused weeks and our clients access to amazing resorts!
Our Process
You're just four steps away from your dream vacation
1. You Inquiry
Please contact us and send us your targeted travel dates, location/resort preference, view preference and travel party size. Please note, most timeshare require 7-night stays with check-in on a Fri/Sat/Sun. We can sometimes accommodate mid-check check-ins and shorter stays. We are a happy to check any dates.
2. We Search
Based on your inquiry, our team will search for accommodations by checking our internal inventory and contacting our network of travel providers and timeshare owners. We will report back quickly with accommodation and pricing options.
3. Contract & Payment
After you decide you'd like to book, we will send an electronic agreement executed via DocuSign and collect payment. We currently accept Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, Check, and ACH as payment methods. With PayPal invoices, you will also have the option to pay with Apple Pay or credit card. Payments are non-refundable.
4. Confirmation
We place a reservation under your name and email you a final confirmation. This may take a few days. After you receive this confirmation, you are free to book airfare and plan the rest of your vacation
