We're a small, family-run travel agency/broker based in Austin, Texas, and we help our clients find accommodations at timeshare resorts. We don't offer cruise, flight, rental car, or hotel packages at this time.
Being based in Texas, we leaned into our Texas pride when we named the company Lone STR Vacations… we think it's a nice play on words… maybe it's not. The STR stands for "Signature Timeshare Resorts." Someday we'd love to acquire residential real estate and offer our own short-term rentals (STRs), too — but for now, we're focused exclusively on resort rentals.
Until recently, most of our business came through Airbnb and VRBO. But those platforms take ~15–20% of every booking in service fees, so we launched this website so you can book directly with us and save money! Compared with our prices on Airbnb, direct bookings can be as much as 25% lower.

We didn't have time to use our week every year, so we started renting it out — sharing our love of travel with our guests and recouping our annual maintenance fees. After a few guests, we realized we were pretty good at this hosting thing.

Pick your week and send a booking request: sign the rental agreement online in a few minutes, then secure your request with a hold on your card (you're not charged yet) or pay right away by Zelle or Venmo, with no processing fee.
Lone STR Vacations reviews every request personally. If approved, the card hold is captured, we add you as a guest on the resort reservation, and we verify the booking.
Once verified, we email your final confirmation in your name — this may take a few days. Once you have it, you're free to book airfare and plan the rest of your vacation.
